Description:
MODIFIED SPECIFICATION SEE CONDITION 2 G1 Poplar - Line of 6 TPO Lombardy poplars that have historically been reduced in height at the rear of this property. There used to be 8, one died and was dismantled and the other blew over from the base in the recent February storms. There is evidence of woodpecker holes in at least 2 of the trees and one of the trees has what looks like some mechanical damage from a rubbing limb on the main stem. All of which could have potential decay pockets with the main structure of the trees. There is also evidence that at least one of the trees is decaying high in the crown with a previous failed top. Having had a couple of failures in the past the clients are concerned that the remaining trees will also fail and possibly cause damage to persons or property. The removal and failure of the two end trees has left the remaining trees more open to wind blow and at a greater risk of further failure. Proposed works: Reduce trees by approx 4 metres to leave a line of trees at a consistent height with a lower risk of failure.
