The tree's roots are substantial and have significantly raised the flags around it, creating a hazard. It has also cracked the foundation of the garage, as well as damaged the wall that separates the garden from the public footpath, which creates a hazard to the passing public. We have also had plans approved for an extension, to create downstairs living for my dad who is disabled. The tree's roots are very close to where they need to put the foundations, and I am concerned it will cause instability to the tree.
