- Description:
- Crabapple tree - fell as tree is damaged and has dropped branches in strong winds. It is very close to house so risk of structural damage if it falls. Its close proximity to house has caused algal growth on house wall, as well as excessive shade. Replace it with one crabapple tree located at a safe distance from house. I fully appreciate the importance of trees and have planted many since moving in.
September 2018
- Type:
- Tree and hedge works
- Status:
- Status not known
- Address:
- 11 Meadow Lane Linton Cambridge Cambridgeshir
- Description:
- 1) Ornamental Cherry. This tree has been affected by a cherry canker and over half of the tree is dead. There are numerous dead branches and small bits drop off regularly. I believe the tree cannot be saved and there is a risk from dropping limbs particularly as the tree is close to the house. I believe it should be removed for safety reasons as well as the fact that it is dying. 2). Leylandii. This large ugly conifer is increasingly encroaching on the garden and adds nothing whatsoever in terms of beauty. It has killed a lot of lawn and border planting which it overhangs and smothers. I wish to replace it with a mulberry tree and herbaceous planting. This will add greatly in terms of attractiveness and diversity of species.
