- Description:
- 1 x Douglas Fir Tree located in the front garden of The Dell, Cecil Ave. Sectionally, dismantle fell & remove to as close to ground level as possible. The tree & limbs being removed that are large enough to cause hardscape or structural damage on impact will be lowered using roping and rigging techniques. All timber (including smaller sections of timber) are to be cut into manageable lengths and stacked on the flat grass area and parking bay. All other arising material shall be removed from site and returned to our premises for recycling. Justification; The mature Douglas Fir tree has recently experienced multiple limb failures, which pose a serious risk to public safety and nearby property. These failures indicate that the tree's structural integrity is compromised, and additional limbs may be at risk of breaking off. The fallen limbs were located near residential structures, increasing the potential for injury or property damage. Given the tree's current condition, it is likely that further limb or tree failures will occur, presenting an ongoing hazard. There has been signs of significant fungal growth observed at the base of the Douglas Fir tree, which suggests internal decay and rot. The presence of fungus indicates that the tree may be weakening from the inside, with the potential for further decay that could compromise the overall stability of the tree. Even with regular maintenance, the fungus may continue to spread, making the tree unsafe. The combination of limb failure and fungal infection presents a clear risk of further structural collapse. The tree's trunk and root system are likely compromised by the fungal growth, leaving it vulnerable to wind and weather-related stresses. The risk of the entire tree falling or large sections breaking off poses a significant danger to surrounding areas, vehicles and nearby buildings. Removal of the tree is essential to eliminate this immediate risk. The tree is beyond effective remediation, and its removal is the o...
