Address:
113 Sherborne Road Cheadle Heath Stockpor
Description:
Two Lime trees in front of 113 Sherborne Road.Taller tree (Tree No.1). Remove and replace with new healthier upright Hornbeam.Smaller tree (Tree No.2). Remove deadwood and 15% crown reduction. With over 20 years of maintenance, Tree No.1 sheds a large amount of dead limbs and branches on to the public footpath and car parking area below. Tree No.1 moves excessively in windy conditions, if this area were to experience a more violent storm, as has become common in other parts of the country, it is highly probable that this tree would fall causing a lot of damage. Taking into account the main supply to the Sub Station lies adjacent to the wall as shown on Photo E, dead limbs falling from this very high tree could cause very serious injury. When Stockport Council have finished upgrading the public footpath, the tree will be more of a danger. Having sought legal advice as to our liability for this dagerious tree, I was advised to have it removed. Therefore, I am applying for permission to replace it with a different species. Tree No.2 is slightly smaller and appears a little safer. I am applying as part of regular maintenance for 15% crown reduction and removal of all deadwood. In view of the large number of trees in the area, I believe that granting permission would greatly increase the safety of the area without harming its amenity value.TPO: 33N
