- Description:
- The trees are located to the rear of the property. Tree numbers relate to the location map provided and not the TPO. There are nine semi mature Sycamores in total, four of which are put together as T1. T1, 4 Sycamores - fell due to excessive shading to the garden and also the property, branches from these trees are overhanging the roof of the garage causing excessive amounts of moss on the tiles, the gutters are completly blocked every year with fallen leaves even though efforts have been made to prevent this with a wire mesh. In addition to the above the owner mentioned that because approximately 90% of the garden is covered by the canopy of the nine trees there is no where to hang washing out to dry nor is there a suitable area to sit out and enjoy the garden due to amount of honeydew dropped by Aphids. T2, Sycamore - fell due to the same reasons stated above and also the tree has suffered damage caused by a fire bin, used to burn leaves, being placed to close, this happened 3-4 years ago and has caused the bark to be shed, the tree is beginning to heal itself, however, the damage measures approx 1000mm in hieght and approx 25% of the circumference. There is also an acute "V" which has potential to become a problem in later years. The owner of the trees does like them but feels that there are just too many of them and in the wrong place. We propose to replace the five trees with eight trees, such as Birch (Pendula Betula).
