- Type:
- Tree and hedge works
- Status:
- Status not known
- Address:
- 102A Hoole Road Chester Cheshire
- Description:
- Pine (T1) - fell due to concerns regarding the close proximity of the tree to the proposed dwelling. The tree is located 2m from the western gable of the existing building that has planning consent for redevelopment into a residential dwelling Ref: 18/00315/FUL . This is an edge tree to a well established linier group. As such, its removal will have no adverse impact on the amenity value the group affords as a whole due to the close proximity of tree number 2 to its west that will become the new edge tree to the group. This is a tree with drawn form and lean towards the building due to suppression from T2 which is a more dominant specimen. The applicant enjoys the amenity and landscape value the trees offer the setting of the site and indeed it was one of the principle reasons for undertaking this project that they intend on living in once complete. The nearest tree (T1) is however too close to realistically coexist with the dwelling without causing health and safety concerns due to over-dominance. Furthermore, due to the close proximity and the need to underpin the existing structure, the root system will inevitably be damaged during construction works. Pine (T2) - Remove lowest limb to NE in order to provide a suitable easement to the new dwelling. The loss of this limb will have no adverse impact on the health and vitality of this tree or the amenity it affords as it will re-balance the crown form.
