- The tree is a very large fir tree. It has a large branch sticking out into my garden. This branch used to run parallel to the main tree but in recent months has drooped away from the tree and hangs dangerously over my garden. The branch also looks like it is dying as it is turning brown - this could be the cause of the change in its position and 'droopiness'.I would simply like to cut the branch off near the point where it joins the main trunk.
