- Fell oak tree at the rear of 6 Kings Glade.Tree has been inspected by an arborist and is progressively inclining to the right. Land to the left of the tree is sinking and roots are causing issues to the rear of the sheltered housing behind (8 Kings Glade). I received a letter from the housing association regarding the tree which is causing damage to the property, lack of light and anxiety to the tenant. The tenant sleeps in the bedroom closest to the tree with her disabled daughter. I have spoken to her in person and discussed her concerns.There are a row of 5 oak trees in close proximity and I do not feel that removing one tree will impact on the environment. The preservation on the trees was initiated when planning Kings Glade and the trees have grown considerably since the order was made 15 years ago. With climate change and the progressive incline of the tree I suspect that if the tree damaged the property at 8 Kings Glade my insurance company would be reluctant to pay out. Could you please inspect the tree and consider my application to remove the tree. I am very concerned about the danger to people and property and the issues this is causing with my neighbour.
