- Oak (No.1) - Fell this tree due to its excessive size within a small residential garden area. I believe the TPO was placed on the tree in 1968/69 when the house was built. At this time the tree would have been considerably smaller. I would estimate base on internet searches about 50% of the size. 48 yrs on and this tree is clearly too big to sit amongst modest residential gardens. If you see the photos you can see the tree is close to reaching the extension. Although the tree can be crowned and thinned the main branches will only get bigger which will make the tree more difficult to maintain. You can see from the Google photo that the canopy of the tree covers 60% of the garden, blocking light to surrounding gardens and houses. Constant dead branches are falling , most small but as the tree gets bigger so will they.
