- Notice to pollard the Sycamore tree to standing dead wood. The tree is Situated to the rear of the back garden and isnt easily visible from the public view. The tree is suffering from heavy limb loss due to a disease Pyhtophthora which causes these symptoms. The tree began dropping large limbs Last August and has continued to drop limbs since with out any notice or damager from storms. The owners of the tree have conveyed to me that the trees now present lean was not present last year but this cannot be verified. I intend to pollard the tree to standing dead wood at the crown break at 5M to allow natural habitat for Bats , and or other insects prior to the trees eventual demise. I have attached 2 photos of the tree to confirm the presence of the Phytophthora. I intend to pollard the tree on Friday 15th March Unless otherwise instructed.
