Description:
My current double garage has a single garage door and a window in it (see photo attached to this application) despite it being a double garage, therefore it only effectively operates as a single garage. Therefore I would like to remove the window and the existing single garage door and replace it with a single double door garage measuring a proposed width of 4.7 metres and a height of 2.35 metres that would allow me to get 2 cars in if required or a single car a lot easier as the width will be wider. Therefore the existing garage door and window will need to be removed and then the new double garage door and frame installed. This will require removal of the door window and bricks, install any steel required for the new door which is unlikely and then installation of a new double door garage in the space made along with brick work around the edges of the new door as required. Builders who have looked at the job have stated that will believe it will likely be a days work and at worse case a couple of days therefore is not a significant piece of building work to complete.
