1) There is a very large Magnolia Grandiflora (no 1 on plan) planted just beside the wall of the house. We have just purchased the property and have discovered that the roots of the tree have dramatically lifted the heavy slabs on the terrace. There is no evidence of damage within the house. We would like permission to remove the magnolia and replace it with a more suitable plant such as a climbing rose or wisteria. It is a small garden but we could plant a small tree elsewhere if required.2) There is also a Holm Oak (no 2 on sketch plan) in the garden. It is quite large and showing signs of vigorous growth. Please can we have permission to prune the tree to prevent it becoming overlarge. Reduce to previous cut points (Amended)
