Address:
2 Park Terrace Burrows Road Melton
Description:
To remove the existing timber framed windows & doors within the property and install windows & doors replicating the existing designs, styles & colour schemes in a PVC-u material. The proposed windows will be sympathetic and resemble the existing as closely as possible with maintenance free PVC-u materials. The windows to the front elevations are currently timber sliding sash (two second floor dormer casements) painted cream. We propose to install PVC-u sliding sash windows closely resembling the existing. They would be painted Cream externally (colour matching the existing shade of cream) and have Astragal glazing bars in the same positions as the existing. On the rear elevation, the windows are currently timber casement windows painted cream. Again, we would not deviate from the existing design and style, replicating what is presently installed. We would install casement PVC-u windows painted Cream externally with Astragal glazing bars. By installing PVC-u windows, the homeowner would be gaining a more Energy Efficient window (WER A+1 Rated windows proposed to be installed/ currently WER C Rated windows) and no longer have the necessity of ongoing maintenance associated with timber framed windows. We have previously carried out the same project at 1 Park Terrace, IP12 1GP, so the new windows would match the adjacent property.
