Remove T1 (Lime). Prune to shape/ reduce in size by 0.5m and maintain at reduced dimensions- Juniper X 2, Cypress, Cherry Laurel. (Note: included given Conservation Area which also affects the site/ trees). The reasons for the notification are as follows: a. T1 (Lime) has been positively implicated in subsidence damage to the property. b. Soil testing confirms the influence of vegetation. c. Root testing confirms the growth of roots from T1 below foundation level. d. Level and crack monitoring show clear seasonal movement. Level monitoring confirms this to be in the orientation of T1. e. The council are advised that a refusal to remove T1 will result in an engineering underpinning solution which will cost not <£50,000. A refusal will allow for these works to be completed and these costs (and other associated costs in bringing a compensation claim) to be recoverable under s202(e).
