Fir tree in front garden - to raise the crown to 4m above the ground. The reasons are: The tree continues to grow upwards, is now well above the height of the house and continues to grow. As well as growing upwards, the tree also continues to grow sideways - we have had to remove some branches that were abutting against the wall of the house. . Recently two significant branches have blown off in high winds, landing on the pavement where they could have caused injury to pedestrians. They might possibly have been damaged by Long Road schoolchildren who use the road pulling on the branches as they were in easy reach of the pavement.
