T1 Maple - Fell Investigations established the presence of a cavity at 1m high with extensive decay and soft rot throughout main stem, extending in excess of 500mm across main stem, and more that 1m vertically up through the centre of the stem (see diagram showing depth of probe). Also early Ganoderma sp. fungal brackets on 2 sides at base of main stem T2 Maple - reduce height by approximately 5m down to approximately 2m below previous reduction points. Reduce spread to north and south sides only by approximately 2.5m, back to previous pruning points. Multiple woodpecker holes identified in main stems in upper canopy below point of previous reductions. Increased risk of structural failures. T3 Maple - Reduce height by approximately 5m down to approximately 2m below previous reduction points. Reduce spread to north and south sides only by approximately 2.5m back to previous points. Multiple woodpecker holes identified in main stems in upper canopy below point of previous reductions. Increased risk of structural failures.
