- Address:
- 9 St Audreys, Thetford, Norfolk,
- Description:
- Oak tree, as shown on document entitled 1 - plan. This is the oak tree located to the right of the sketch plan. We wish to fell it because it is affected significantly by chicken of the woods fungus. Several fungus fruits are visible, these are both on the main trunk of the tree and on several limbs coming off the tree. The bark at the bottom of the tree is shedding, and where the trunk underneath is visible, the wood has started to crumble. Several of the arborists that we have got to look at the tree have suggested that the tree is in a bad state and is on the cusp of being in the realms of 'dangerous'. The tree is located in close proximity to our house and our neighbours. It is also on the riverbank. In our garden, only a few meters away from the tree that we wish to fell is another large oak tree. Because of the size and location of the garden, as well as the location of the oak tree to remain, it would be difficult to replant another tree in a safe location with enough space.
