- The branch of a tree that we would like to remove is actually a side/spur shoot from the stump of a lime tree, which has been removed at some point in the past. Please see attached photographs and site plan for location. The stump is located against the remnants of the recently repaired Listed wall located in the car park at Enterprise House. The side/spur shoot is causing structural cracking to the internal car park wall. This wall forms part of the curtilage to the Barons, Church Street, Reigate, which is Listed. Works were carried out in 2018/19 to repair the wall (Planning Permission and Listed Buildings consent was granted), but the side shoot has caused further damage since the repairs, and now requires removal in order to prevent this section of wall failing. Please see attached Chartered Building Surveyor's letter report in respect of the structural cracking. (INVESTIGATION AT THE VALIDATION STAGE BY THE TREE OFFICER REVEALS THAT THE SPECIES WITHIN THE NOTIFICATION IS INCORRECT AND THE STEM IDENTIFIED FOR REMOVAL IS IN FACT ARISING FROM A ROBINIA)
