- We would like to remove the TPO tree (a common Ash - we think) in our front garden. We live in a smallish detached bungalow and the tree is quite close to our home in the middle of our front lawn. The roots take all the moisture from the lawn and we struggle to manage the tree and the lawn. We are in our mid 80s and in autumn the leaves that drop can make our drive, which is on a slight slope quite slippery underfoot. This makes it harder for us to safely leave the house. A previous planning application to lower the tree was approved and the officer that visited noted that it is the only tree remaining in the front gardens and is of little value. It would make a very big an positive difference to us if we could achieve permission to have it professionally removed. We would be happy to plant a much smaller tree - maybe an evergreen that won't drop leaves. Thank you. WITHDRAWN 30.07.20
