- Address:
- Woodleigh House 21 Main Road Aislaby Whitby
- Description:
- Single Horse Chestnut tree (T1) in the front garden of Woodleigh House. Tree Condition; - The stem bifurcates at 2m becoming 3 co-dominant stems. The union between the stems is acute but reasonable with no evidence of cracking or failure. - At 4m a sub-dominant scaffold limb crosses over a larger stem to the north. This crossing stem may cause damage to the lower stem and become weakened by the ongoing incremental growth of both stems. - Within the crown of the tree a moderate amount of deadwood was noted and the crown is now extending to within a metre of the adjacent building. Works to be completed; - Remove smaller crossing stem from 4m - remove back to the stem. - Prune back small diameter branch overhang from building - to provide 2.5m clearance of roofline. - Remove crown deadwood.
