- Description:
- Two ash trees to the front of the property approximately 20 feet apart in right hand border as viewed from the front of the property. We purchased this property in July 2016. Our independent property survey taken at the time, highlighted that one of the ash trees has die back. Ash tree 1 towards the front appears to have severe die back and is showing no signs of coming into leaf. Would like to fell this tree and plant something of a similar nature but of a smaller type alongside current ash tree trunk. Ash tree 2, twenty feet behind the other ash tree with die back, is currently very healthy. Would like to prune this tree to a manageable level. Current width is 17m - would like to reduce by 2m all round leaving a width of 13m. Current height is roughly 35m, would like to reduce by 3m to leave 32m. Reasoning: As ash tree 1 has severe die back, if it is not removed promptly, we are concerned that it will spread to ash tree 2. We Have no experience of dealing with this condition so would appreciate any advice that can be offered.
