Description:
To replace a concrete slab supported by two courses of bricks on top of a chimney with a chimney pot, suitable for connection to a wood burner flue, it is proposed to lower the stack and rebuild it using as much of the original stone as possible but where necessary, as in the case of the damaged cornice, matching new stone will be used. The proposed chimney pot would be a standard buff coloured 300mm or 450mm roll top type with a suitable bird-proof rain cover cowl to support the flue liner. It is also proposed to replace the slab and supporting bricks on a second, brick-built chimney, with a similar buff coloured chimney pot and cowl.
