T1 - Horse Chestnut - tree is located at the bottom of the garden on the left hand side. The tree has had a few big limbs break off in the storms over the last few years and has rips and wounds left in the trees crown. Tree has a large wound up the back of it on the main trunk, and also has a cavity in the trunk. a sound test was carried out on the trunk of the tree and it revealed a hollow in the base of the trunk about 50% of the width itself. The tree also has had fungus bodies growing off the base of the tree but unfortunately the Gardener has removed the bodies from the tree and disposed of them so we are unable to formally identify the species of fungus we believe it to be a Ganoderma Fungus in the tree. Fell tree and replant with a new specimen of another tree
