- The tree in question is a single beech tree: (T1) ? Fagus sylvatica f. purpurea. The tree has been planted approximately 1m from a raised wall adjacent to the driveway at the front of the property, between the property and the road. The tree is approximately 6m from the property and has quite a large spreading crown that is nearly touching the property.. It is without question that this tree is doing well in this location, as a result of this the tree appears to be putting on good growth to the canopy and root system. However, the result of this growth is clearly damaging areas around the property. Application for removal was denied, so I would like to submit another for a crown reduction, 2 - 3 m to give clearance from the property and increased light levels.
