Description:
i would like to demolish an existing single storey building at the rear of my house. It is an old building made of solid stone construction. It has a mixture of a corrugated plastic roof and asbestos slates in some places. There is no damp course because of the buildings age. I would like to replace it with a modern kitchen diner which will sit on the old footprint except for a slight widening near the house to make it a rectangle shape instead of a L shape. The kitchen diner will also have a downstairs toilet added within its footprint. The toilet window will look at the boundry wall. A large kitchen window will also be installed this will also look at the boundry wall. A skylight will also be added to bring in extra light as well as patio doors leading to the garden. I would also like to move the location of my bathroom. it is currently location in the hallway leading up to the attic i think because their was no other place to put it once the toilet had been moved from outside. It will be moved to the largest bedroom in the house using a stud wall to create the the new room. I would also like to put a dorma in the attic room situated at the rear of the property overlooking the rear garden. The attic already has been plastered with electrics and central heating installed. The dorma will solve the head height issue as you walk the stairs to enter the room. The stairs are a normal flight of stairs and not a ladder, the only problem is the entrance to the room is low. Hopefully this will allow me to use this as a legal bedroom.
