Description:
Holm Oak (A): My client was of the understanding that this tree is subject to a TPO but having rung North Norfolk District Council I have been informed it is not. However I provide the following information to support the application. On the advice of Andrew Howes, GardenGreenFingers, Agriculturist the tree requires: 1. Crown reduction by 1.5-2 metres to an overall height of 6-6.5 metres and spread of 5.5-6 metres to allow better light into neighbouring gardens and houses as well as the applicant's own. This will be carried out while maintaining the tree's shape. 2. Crown thinning and removal of deadwood to reduce the density and allow more light into neighbouring gardens and houses and to ensure the tree remains healthy. The thinning proposed will be no more than 20% of the leaf area. 3. Crown lifting to allow more light into gardens and reduce any low branches that might be obstructing paths particularly in neighbouring gardens. It is proposed to remove any branches that are lower than 3 metres from the ground. Holm Oak (B) - It is proposed to remove this tree. This tree is a sapling that has been neglected and allowed to grow in close proximity (within 4 metres) to the existing Holm Oak (T1). It will become too large for it's position. It is proposed to plant a silver birch in another part of the garden away from the existing Holm Oak and has been shown on the plan as site (D). Ornamental Conifer tree (C) - It is proposed to remove the right-hand trunk of this tree to give space for the other trunk to grow. It has grown sideways and is not in a good shape.
