- Description:
- Copper Beech (T2) - I am seeking approval for a light crown reduction to help return the tree to a more balanced overall shape, and to allow for maintaining a 2 metre gap from neighbouring properties (houses and garages). The reduction would not see the height of the tree changed, which stands at 10 metres tall. The reduction would see the spread of the tree reduced to 5 metres. I have taken advice from abrorists who have recommended attention is needed (reduction or removal) of two particular branches. The first for a branch that is crossing / rubbing another and creating a structural weakness. The second for a malformed branch that does not appear to be growing and again would remove a structural weakness above my own and neighbours garages. I appreciate that this is not the time of year for work on a Copper Beech tree, but hope this application can be considered for approval for work later in the Spring of 2021.
