Description:
Yew (T1) - 8m height. Remove due to: complete loss of light to the living room and master bedroom, shade causing damage to the house, interfering with data line from the telegraph pole, damage to cars with shedding needles, loss of view from house, concerns over the lean of the tree towards the house. We are uncertain that the tree is covered by the area TPO. Images from 2009 show the tree to be significantly smaller. Earlier development plans of the site found on the council database from the 1980s state that none of the trees on the site appear to be protected and no plans show the tree to be mapped - info attached separately. However, due to the variable growth rate of Yew trees and the fact that there are no photographs of the site to allow us to definitively confirm the tree wasn't present in 1973, we are submitting the application as a precaution.
