Oak - Dismantle. I crown-lifted this tree in 2022 (Consented as 21/02073/TW). Subsequently, a crack has appeared in the retaining wall, supporting the bank upon which these trees were growing when the Garden Village was developed. This tree has been pollarded in the last 30-40 years, but stands under the shadow of a more substantial maiden oak. These two trees have now reached an age where one or other should be removed to improve growing conditions for the remnant. The structural damage indicates that the pollarded tree should be removed as quickly as possible.

Oak - The tree has two stems originating from a near-ground level bifurcation (possibly previously coppiced). Both stems have been worked on in the past (c.30 years ago). The stem I am hereby applying to remove has certainly been pollarded. The stem I wish to retain has also had work undertaken - possibly partially pollarded. Stem 1) Growing directly above the green house: Remove the stem in question, thereby singling the tree and retaining the dominant (and better formed) stem.Stem 2) Reduce crown by 30% to maintain the crown in manageable proportions.
