- Description:
- We have a huge old Chestnut tree; on the right side of our house passage between the front garden to the back garden. This tree and its branches lean onto our master bedroom roof and it feels insecure when heavy rain or wind comes. We are looking for advice and requesting to remove this tree as safe as possible. We had opinions from different tree surgeons and the advice has been the same ???It has 3 separate big branches and all 3 have different heavy weights which is pulling them apart, hence eventually they will fall on our roof and can damage our house as well as can be life-threatening to us and our neighbour???s house too.??? We had a visit from a tree officer and we are happy for another to come and inspect it again if required. We bought this house in 2020 only because we have fallen in love with this woodland area; we love trees' surroundings, and we encourage how important tree protection is for humankind and the great survival of all living. We enjoy feeding birds and foxes who come from time to time looking for food, as we thoroughly enjoy our surroundings. However, we love this tree if and only if it could have been placed in a much better and safer place. But we think it has all signs of danger which we would like to avoid. We would like to offer to replace this with a new tree planted in a better place so we do our best not to lose any trees in this area if possible.
