Address:
12 Park Gate Crescent Guiseley Leeds
Description:
T1 Leylandii Conifer - Fell because of proximity to house wall, excessive shading of garden and excessive moisture reduction in soil. Roots are also causing an issue for gardening. Some cracking of mortar pointing exists on gable end - house purchase survey recommended removal of this tree. We intend to replace it with small fruit trees and a vegetable bed once the soil has been improved.Conifer inner hedge (2-5) - the hedgerow around the property is privet but conifers have been planted as a second inner hedge, probably for privacy and noise reduction from Park Road. They haven't been properly managed by the previous house owners. They're causing excessive shading, dry soil, impacting on what can grow (including grass) and negatively impacting the privet by causing die-back due to lack of light and air circulation. Mould is growing on one of the shrubs. The conifers will be removed so the privet can regenerate and be improved by in-planting with new ones, and a planted garden of shrubs and flowers will be created once conditions have been improved.
