No loss of visual amenity as behind the smaller two are three mature firs, and there are sufficient other trees to maintain a strong visual entrance to Pool.The entrance gates and wall are contained in Appendix 5 to the Pool Neighbourhood Plan as Non Designated Heritage Assets .Handsome stone entrance with high walls topped with spherical stone ornaments and decorative wooden gates. Basis for the designation Rarity, aesthetic value, landmark status. This proposal was queried by myself during consultation on the basis that it was already in the Pool Conservation area. I was told that This is not protected within the Conservation Area at the minuteDue to the close proximity of the trees subject to this application to the wall, there is a strong arguement that planning apllication is not required for the removal of these self seeded sycamore.
