Application for works to trees in a Conservation Area - Fell all Leylandii trees which have been untended for some years and their growth has run away resulting in damage to the property, overhead electric cables and more sensitive and less vigorous native trees/plants. See attached site plan for reference to the following:T1 - Large Leylandii identified in UK Power Networks Safety Survey as requiring removal T2 - Large Leylandii identified by insurance survey report following subsidence claim as potential reason for subsidence to buildingT3 - Large Leylandii with potential to cause further subsidence and lying along mains drainage channel. H1 - 3.5m High uncut/untended line of Leylandii to be removed and replace by native hawthorn or similar hedgerow more suitable for local wildlife, currently this is crowding out a plum(?) tree that is to be preserved if it can be saved. Once removed, replace with alternative cherry, apple, pear trees, hawthorn hedging to encourage wildlife, native plants and variety in habitat numbers and location to be determined with advice from a local horticultural/wildlife expert.
