Planning applications
- Planning ref:
- February 2023 NYM/2023/0058
- Type:
- Tree and hedge works
- Status:
- Decision has yet to be made
- Address:
- 5 The Mount Mill Lane West Ayton Scarborough North Yorkshire
- Description:
- There are 4 trees in total - 2x Ash (A), 1x Larch (L) and 1x Maple (M). After speaking to a tree surgeon, he suggested, due to the proliferation of Ash dieback, that it would be prudent to remove the two ash trees (A) before they succumb to dieback which could result in them falling into neighbouring properties land and/or onto our cars which are parked directly beneath them, causing significant damage. The Larch (L) is unfortunately diseased as reported by the previous owner of the property and confirmed by the tree surgeon. It is also leaning towards the neighbouring property which would pose a significant risk and extensive damage if it were to fall. The Maple (M) is causing significant damage to the garden as seen in the photograph of the root system lifting the path which is also causing a trip hazard. Our neighbours have also complained about the size of it and the impact on their garden. It is also a non native species and we would like to replace the removed trees with native species that are of a more manageable size (Such as Rowan and fruit trees).
