Status:

Address:
54, PORTREE DRIVE, HOLMES CHAPEL, CREWE, CHESHIRE,
Description:
Alder No.1 and No.2, both 16 to 20m height. • Both alders are located in the rear garden with evidence of decay, whilst growth is weakly attached on both. Alder beetle is present giving the trees a sickly appearance and not able to retain leaves with deadwood present on both. • Alder No.1 leans at 5m. • Due to the current condition of both trees inclusive of the alder beetle impact causing stress to the trees as the removal of the leaves is not allowing the trees to produce enough carbohydrate, weakening the ability of the trees to fend off other diseases, the intended amenity value and tree canopy cover of the TPO are affected. • The laurel and other vegetation on the footpath adjacent to the trees, are now well established providing a fit-for-purpose substitute for the amenity value intended in the original TPOs. Description of proposed works: • Removal of both Alder No. 1 and No. 2 by qualified arborist and plant replacement trees deemed suitable by Cheshire East tree officer.
