Planning applications

- Type:
- Tree and hedge works
- Status:
- Status not known
- Address:
- 60 High Street North Stewkley Buckinghamshire
- Description:
- I have a silver birch tree located very close to my property and encroaching on the boundary of my neighbour. The tree is exceptionally tall and it is extremely difficult to manage and maintain. I purchased the property in Nov 2023 and my neighbours moved next to me in the spring of 2024. They are an elderly couple (1 with significant mobility issues) and the tree towers over their patio due to the proximity to their boundary, creates a huge amounts of mess and is causing them anxiety due to the height. It is also blocking light into their patio area. The tree is serving no purpose to me and there are many other trees in my garden and the surrounding area. It is only visible from my property and my neighbours. I had a visit from a tree surgeon who also advised, given the size and circumstances it would be best to have it removed entirely and hence my application.
