Description:
T1 Mature Lime We were called to remove three dangerous dead hanging branches above the patio side of the tree. Upon an aerial inspection it became clear that the upper canopy and most of the upper stems (circa 18-24 inch diameter) are dead and showing signs of decay and hollow wounds. The tree is situated above a seating area, has severe canopy die back and has been losing limbs from the upper canopy for quite some time. In the interest of safety, the work we intend is a heavy reduction of the main dead/dying stems by at least 50% back to the main mass of epicormic growth. This will remove any risk of further deadwood falling on the seating area and give the tree its best chance of recovery.
