- As discussed with Ed. I have an evergreen oak (Quercus ilex). The main trunk has split at approx. 12ft . I want to lop the tree either down to the stump or to a height of approx. 6ft in the hope in may re grow as.Tree height at the moment is approx. 25ftThere is also another smaller evergreen oak (Quercus ilex) near the front door - I also want to remove this or lop to a height of approx. 6ft ? depending on tree surgeon advice. It is next to a Camelia which I will keepI also have a stag's horn sumach , which has grown diagonally out of the front garden and now covers the pavement and obscures the street light. I want to either remove completely or try and level to a height of 6ft If the tree surgeon can manage it.There is a dead tree in the same location (identity unknown) ? this will be removed also or cut to approx. 6ft and turned into a bird table. Mike Bowyers is the tree surgeon doing the work. I have emailed pictures of the trees ? if you need more detailed pictures please let me know and I'll take and send them to Ed.
