Description:
Undertake removal of all existing deadwood and wind damaged foliage bearing branches where evident. Undertake a full crown reduction of the canopy back to the previous pruning points which are evidenced as the place where epicormic re growth occurred following similar pruning an estimated 12 - 15 years ago. A number of these re growth stems failed during high winds earlier this year. If decay is evidenced in these knuckle unions it may be necessary to reduce the branch length by an additional 300 mm to allow re growth from sound wood again. The above work is requested due to excessive shading of the adjacent properties by the dense canopy and the now close proximity to the properties where leaf fall into the rainwater gutters is causing blockages which in turn are potentially damaging the conserved building fabric. Additionally roosting birds are defecating onto the fabric of the building particularly the stone entrance steps causing a predestination slip hazard on a daily basis. Also permission is sought to reduce the length of the single branch that overhangs the roofline towards the dormer windows back to the building line to improve overall tree canopy shape.
