- Description:
- At the rear of our properties is a service area. This area backs onto a service area behind the shops.The two service areas are separated by a wall which was erected in 1996. On our side of the wall is a large hedge which was put in by the developer and is our responsibility to maintain. The hedge is a mix of various plants: laurel, hawthorn etc etc. also a hybrid willow which has been allowed to grow unchecked and is now a nuisance: it is in danger of pushing the wall over, it takes light and also produces hundreds of catkins and airborne seeds. We (the residents) would like to take out this willow tree and replace it with more suitable hedging plants. The tree is a risk to the wall;it is not a specimen tree and has no historical importance being planted at the same time as the rest of the hedge;
