Roof - Valley on rear of roof - remove existing failed lead valley and replace with code 4 lead to reflect existing details. Laps to match existing. If slates are to be removed during the course of the works, they are to replaced with an exact match. It is not envisaged that slates will need to be replaced. Chimney at rear - repoint where joints have failed with lime and sand mortar to match existing. Colour of sand to be agreed before work starts. New light fitting - see attached photo 1. To be fitted to left hand side of front door. Fixing holes to be either horizontally or vertically opposed so that drilling of existing brickwork is not necessary. Any new wiring is to be via a drilled hole through jointing material from the inside. Remove all external TV aerial cable and extraneous wiring. Rewiring to be carried out with internal cable. INTERIOR Internal doors (photo 2) which are of hollow, insubstantial, modern ply material to be removed and replaced with soft wood vertical panelled cottage style doors (Brace and ledger style) (photo 3 ) Remove modern fire surround and gas fire in front room. Cut back any new infill brickwork and expose the original fire opening. Make good and install new wood burning stove.
